Catch And Release

Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin." - John 8:34

I'm a "catch and release" fisherman, which means I don't kill the trout I catch, but net and handle them gently and set them free. It's a technique that ensures "sustainability," as conservation officers like to say, and keeps trout and other target species from disappearing in heavily fished waters.

I rarely release a trout without recalling Paul's words about those who have been "taken captive" by Satan to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26), for I know that our adversary the devil does not catch and release but captures to consume and destroy.

We may think we can deliberately sin in a limited way for a short period of time and then get out ourselves free. But as Jesus teaches us, "Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin" (John 8:34). Even "little" sins lead to greater and greater unrighteousness. Sin becomes the consequence of sin. We find ourselves entrapped and enslaved, and like a luckless trout, we cannot wriggle free.

Sin enslaves us. But when we yield ourselves in obedience to Christ and call upon Him for the strength to do His will, we are "released." The result is increasing righteousness (Rom. 6:16).

Christ releases us from sin's slavery into salvation's liberty.

To learn how to "catch" and "release" is not something simple... We may 'catch' the wrong thing and 'release' something that shouldn't...

Money... shall we catch it or release it?... let's say catch it... well, what kind of money we should catch?... release?... fine... what can you rely for to live on?

Reality is hurt... so, I had make a standard for myself so that I won't feel so breatheless with this stuff... money given from mum, take it... money from ememy... take it too... but will goes to church...

Ok.. Be honest... I din't give away all the money... by the mean time I need money... but i will try to replace... I have to follow what had I fixed for my own standard... other wise no use for doing such thing...

Release... I haven't release something of the earthy yet... such as beautiful dress... and my mum... i will try to put on those pretty dress on me when I am going out... when my mum say i am not allowed to go for church's programme, I didn't went... I feel like i scare of her... but, don't I should scare for The One that can destroy both life and body?...

O Father Lord... please help me... I need you to show me the way... please lead me to the right way in order to solve all these problems...
