Psalm 100 is one of the great songs of thanksgiving in the Bible. It calls us to realize that we belong to God our Maker (v. 3-4), and to praise Him for His goodness, mercy, and truth (v. 5).
During a recent reading, however, I was struck by a phrase that speaks of expressing thanks in a tangible, willing way: "Server the Lord with gladness" (v. 2). Many times my service to God is more grudging than glad. I do what I consider my duty, but I'm not happy with about it.
Oswald Chambers put his finger on my unthankful attitude when he said: "The will of God is the gladdest, brightest, most bountiful thing possible to conceive, and yet some of us talk of the will of God with a terrific sigh - 'Oh well, I suppose it is the will of God,' as if His will were the most calamitous thing that could befall us... We become spiritual whinners and talk pathetically about 'suffering the will of the Lord.' Where is the majestic vitality and might of the Son of God about that!"
True thankfulness is more than being grateful for what we possess. It's an attitude that permeates our relationship with the Lord so that we may serve Him with gladness and joy. - David C. McCaslandThen let us adore and give Him His right,
All glory and power, all wisdom and might,
All honor and blessing, with angels above,
And thanks never ceasing for infinite love. - Wesley
For the Christian, thanksgiving is not just a day but a way of life.

After reading the passage, I only have a phrase in my mind... - Thanks Giving... It is for Farther Lord... Thank you of what He given...
At first I wish I could be one of the worship team's member... but now I didn't think of it any more... It doesn't mean I am not interested... but I am not prepared... and... the mind i had was not the correct one... I guess... I found that the reason why I want to worship Him on stage is because that is a chance for me to show off...
Since the first mind is not for the Lord... what for to be there?! I can do it somewhere else!... Furthermore... I just wonder am I the one that being chosen?... I am not sure with that... Anyhow... I am not prepared is the main problem right now...
But thanks God given me the chance of joining the leader's meeting... I learnt alot there... He let me become the Form 1's AJK for next year... teacher didn't tell me what should I do... so... I just prepare myself... hopefully I am able to handle all the task given next year... :)
I need support from God for every task... I need Him every second... Being chosen or not, is not the point now... I just wish to have the chance to serve Him... :)
